Ted Lemon, owner and winemaker of Littorai has quite the resume… (see below). I first met Ted when i was working at the City Wine Shop in Melbourne. It was also the first time I’d tried his wines and I was blown away by both the man and the wine. These are wines of the vineyard and for the cellar. You be be rewarded with careful cellaring over the next 15 years. So, if you’re a die-hard Pinot Noir or Chardonnay drinker then i can’t recommend these wines more. They are very limited and some of my favourite new world expressions of the varieties. – Chris L

Ted is a lifelong winemaker who began his career by receiving an Enology degree from the Universit de Dijon in 1981. He worked at many prestigious estates in Burgundy: Domaine Georges Roumier, Domaine Bruno Clair, Domaine Parent, Domaine De Villaine, Domaine Delorme and Domaine Dujac. He was the first American ever selected as winemaker and vineyard manager of a Burgundian estate, Domaine Guy Roulot in Meursault, and remained in Burgundy through 1984. Since 1984, Ted has been a partner with the owners of Domaine Dujac in Druid Wine Company, which distributes Domaine Dujac wines internationally and produces wines from Puligny Montrachet and Meursault under its own label. Upon returning to the United States, Ted became the founding winemaker of Chateau Woltner on Howell Mountain.. Since then, he has been consultant to a number of prominent wineries: Franciscan Estates, Clos Pegase, Green and Red Vineyard, Reverie, Howell Mountain Vineyards, Black Sears Estate, Archery Summit Winery in Oregon, Burn Cottage Vineyard in New Zealand and many more. – Winery Note
